SEO Activities That Are Now Automated

While it can be difficult to keep up with the increasing number of SEO tools released in the last few decades (alongside the new functionality of the existing tools), testing them is essential to determine how their features will support and advance our SEO activities.

This is especially true for tasks that are important or highly beneficial to SEO, but that requires a complex and/or lengthy execution. I'm sharing seven SEO tasks that can now be automated using tools.

Assessing the potential of your industry traffic

The first thing to do when you launch a new website, or an SEO campaign, is to estimate the traffic potential. This should be done per channel. It can be difficult to estimate this, especially when you're just beginning to work in a new area.

SimilarWeb industry analysis reports can be very helpful. They will allow you to quickly and easily access the most important traffic data in any industry across many countries.

Be aware that these numbers are only references and not absolutes. If possible, verify with other data sources.

Keyword Opportunities for Your Sites

When focusing your SEO efforts and setting achievable, but still profitable goals, it is important to identify new keyword opportunities.

This analysis used to take a lot of time and was tedious in the past. However, Sistrix now makes it possible to automate it with its "Opportunities” feature. You can add up to three competitors. This will display which keywords your competitors are currently ranking for, as well as the level of traffic potential and competition.

Doing a TF -IDF analysis on the most popular pages for any query will help you identify relevant terms to use in your content

While it is known that the TF-IDF indexes pages have been used, it has not been widely available to help identify term variations of topics we should use. This information can help improve the relevance of our site for other terms used by our audience.

OnPage.org has a handy TF–IDF tool that can be used for on-page analysis. It allows you to analyze both the top 15 results pages and your own page to rank with. Focusing on the keywords that are most relevant to the topic can help increase site content's relevance.
